7组竞争（zhēng）者共14人分别空降到温哥华岛的北部，每（měi）组的（de）两个队员一共可以选（xuǎn）择10个生（shēng）存（cún）装备，并平分装（zhuāng）备（bèi）。每（měi）组中需（xū）要选择一人降落在营（yíng）地，另一人则降（jiàng）落（luò）在距离营（yíng）地16km（1 mi）的地方并需要靠指南针（zhēn）徒步到营地。每（měi）个人都可（kě）以（yǐ）在（zài）任何时（shí）间（jiān）退出游（yóu）戏，同时另一名组员也会自动（dòng）被退出游戏。如果有组员因为受（shòu）伤而退出，那（nà）么与主动（dòng）退出游戏一样。坚持到最后一组（zǔ）的两名成（chéng）员获得50万美金（jīn）。
